Hobe Sound

Hobe Sound was named after the Hobe Indians, who lived in the area before European settlers arrived. The community has a long history as a center for agriculture and fishing, and today is a popular destination for tourists and residents alike.

The community is also home to the Jonathan Dickinson State Park, which offers a variety of outdoor activities. The park covers an area of more than 11,000 acres and is home to a variety of ecosystems, including pine flatwoods, mangrove swamps, and oak hammocks. There are several trails in the park for hiking and biking, and visitors can also enjoy paddling and fishing on the Loxahatchee River, which runs through the park.
